The body count is mounting already. I am very disappointed in Fortitude. He missed a key clue: When the necromancer killed the school pupil he assumed the look of the school teacher without having to kill the teacher first. Fortitude and Merrin later incorrectly assumed the necromancer could take the form only of those he'd killed. The necomancer then escaped by possessing Gytha's body. On the blame mitigation side I suppose magic is pretty new to the militias. And the necromancer was clever to take Rachel out first, who could have provided Fortitude with better advice. Poor Gytha.
